NCL30088 Power Factor Corrected Quasi-Resonant Primary Side Current-Mode Controller for LED Lighting www.onsemi.com with Thermal Foldback The NCL30088 is a power factor corrected flyback controller 8 targeting isolated and nonisolated constant current LED drivers. The 1 controller operates in a quasiresonant mode to provide optimal SOIC8 NB efficiency. Thanks to a novel control method, the device is able to CASE 751 tightly regulate a constant LED current from the primary side. This removes the need for secondary side feedback circuitry, biasing and an MARKING DIAGRAM optocoupler. 8 The device is highly integrated with a minimum number of external L30088x components. A robust suite of safety protection is built in to simplify ALYW the design.
