NCV890131 Buck Switching Regulator - Automotive 1.2 A, 2 MHz The NCV890131 is a fixedfrequency, monolithic, Buck switching regulator intended for Automotive, batteryconnected applications www.onsemi.com that must operate with up to a 36 V input supply. The regulator is suitable for systems with low noise and small form factor requirements often encountered in automotive driver information MARKING DIAGRAM systems. The NCV890131 is capable of converting the typical 4.5 V to V8901 18 V automotive input voltage range to outputs as low as 3.3 V at a 31 constant switching frequency above the sensitive AM band, ALYW DFN10 eliminating the need for costly filters and EMI countermeasures. Two CASE 485C pins are provided to synchronize switching to a clock, or to another A = Assembly Location NCV890131. The NCV890131 also provides several protection L = Wafer Lot features expected in Automotive power supply systems such as current Y = Year limit, short circuit protection, and thermal shutdown. In addition, the W = Work Week high switching frequency produces low output voltage ripple even = PbFree Device when using small inductor values and an allceramic output filter (Note: Microdot may be in either location) capacitor forming a spaceefficient switching regulator solution.
