The Bias Resistor R 2 Transistor (BRT) contains a single transistor with a monolithic bias Q 1 network consisting of two resistors a series base resistor and a base-emitter resistor. The BRT eliminates these individual Q 2 components by integrating them into a single device. The use of a BRT R 2 R 1 can reduce both system cost and board space.
