The Pololu DRV8434S SPI Stepper Motor Driver Carrier is a stepper motor controller that includes a DRV8434S motor driver IC and runs on an SPI connection. It is capable of driving up to 1.2A per phase of a four-phase bi-polar stepper motor from 4.5-48V. It features a low-saturation current to reduce heat, adjustable current control to increase reliability, as well as overcurrent and short-circuit protection. The SPI Stepper Motor Driver Carrier also features a built-in protection circuit that will automatically shutdown the driver if there is an overcurrent or overtemperature situation. Additionally, there is a reset line that can be used to put the driver into a reset state. This motor driver is perfect for use in robotics projects, 3D printing, and other applications that require precise positioning and control.
