DATASHEET DG441, DG442 FN3281 Rev 10.00 Monolithic, Quad SPST, CMOS Analog Switches Nov 20, 2006 The DG441 and DG442 monolithic CMOS analog switches Features are drop-in replacements for the popular DG201A and ON Resistance (Max) . 85 DG202 series devices. They include four independent single pole single throw (SPST) analog switches, TTL and CMOS Low Power Consumption (P ) . <1.6mW D compatible digital inputs, and a voltage reference for logic Fast Switching Action thresholds. -t (Max) . 250ns ON These switches feature lower analog ON resistance (<85 ) -t (Max, DG441) 120ns OFF and faster switch time (t <250ns) compared to the ON Low Charge Injection DG201A and DG202. Charge injection has been reduced, simplifying sample and hold applications. Upgrade from DG201A, DG202 TTL, CMOS Compatible The improvements in the DG441 series are made possible by using a high voltage silicon-gate process. An epitaxial Single or Split Supply Operation layer prevents the latch-up associated with older CMOS Pb-Free Plus Anneal Available (RoHS Compliant) technologies. The 44V maximum voltage range permits controlling 40V signals. Power supplies may be single P-P Applications ended from +5V to +34V, symmetrical supplies from 5V to 22V or asymmetrical supplies limited to a maximum Audio Switching differential voltage of 44V with a V+ max of 34V or a V- max Battery Operated Systems of -25V. Data Acquisition The four switches are bilateral, equally matched for AC or Hi-Rel Systems bidirectional signals. The ON resistance variation with analog signals is quite low over a 5V analog input range. Sample and Hold Circuits The switches in the DG441 and DG442 are identical, Communication Systems differing only in the polarity of the selection logic.
