Renesas R7F2950NEGK is a 32-bit RISC microcontroller designed for automotive applications. The R7F2950NEGK integrates high speed data converters including serial interfaces, Ethernet, real-time clock, CAN controllers and a low consumption mobile power saving mode. Its high-performance ARM Cortex-R7 core meets the needs of advanced automotive applications such as motor control, body controllers, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and automotive infotainment systems. It includes high speed flash memory of up to 64 MB and up to 1.4 MB SRAM for safety applications. The device features a vision guard to support an extra level of security for automotive applications. Other features include an ACT4 module for performing processor-level safety, an error correction code (ECC) module for improved data accuracy, and a hardware encryption unit for higher system storage efficiency. The device has multiple communication modules, including Ethernet MAC and physical layer (PHY), CAN, Serial Flash interface, eSCSI, I2C, SENT, SD/MMC and UART. The device also integrate 1x Timer/Counters, 4x 128-bit Timer Unit and 2x Pulse Width Modulators (PWM) for motor control applications.
