Wireless Power Transmitter for P9235A-RB up to 5W Applications Datasheet Description Features The P9235A-RB is a highly integrated, magnetic induction, wireless Power transfer up to 5W power transmitter supporting up to 5W of total wireless system Wide input voltage range: 4.25V to 21V power with in-band, bi-directional data communication requiring no WPC compatible additional circuitry. The P9235A-RB offers a pre-programmed Integrated step-down switching regulator bootloader that must be used in conjunction with an external flash memory that contains control firmware. This architecture allows the Embedded 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0 processor (trademark of user to change the firmware in the external flash to meet ARM, Ltd.) application-specific requirements. Renesas also provides firmware Integrated drivers for external power FETs to implement standard WPC coil configurations, such as the A11a Supports bi-directional data communication addendum. Simultaneous voltage and current demodulation scheme for The P9235A-RB includes an industry-leading 32-bit ARM robust communication Cortex -M0 processor offering a high level of programmability Integrated current sense amplifier while consuming extremely low standby power. The transmitter Low standby power features two open-drain LED outputs with pre-defined blinking patterns and five general-purpose input/output (GPIO) pins. The Dedicated remote temperature sensing GPIOs can be firmware-defined for functions such as setting the Two LED outputs that can indicate power transfer and fault current limit, setting FOD limits, driving additional coils, or sounding conditions a buzzer, which supports a wide range of applications. The I2C Foreign object detection (FOD) serial communication allows the user to read information such as Active-low enable pin for electrical on/off voltage, current, frequency, and fault conditions. Over-current and over-temperature protection The P9235A-RB includes an under-voltage lockout and thermal Supports I2C interface management circuit to safeguard the device under fault conditions. SPI interface to access external flash memory Together with the P9225-R receiver (R ), the P9235A-RB forms a X complete 5W wireless power system solution with bi-directional -40 to +85C ambient operating temperature range data communication. 40-VFQFPN, 5 5 mm RoHS-compliant package The P9235A-RB is available in a Pb-free, space-saving 5 5 mm 40-VFQFPN package. The product is rated over an operating Typical Applications temperature range of -40C to +85C.
