RT6158H High Efficiency, Low Quiescent, 3A Buck-Boost Converter General Description Features Input Voltage Range : 2.5V to 5.5V The RT6158H converter is a high efficiency single inductor Adjustable Output Voltage : 2.1V to 5.2V by External converter which can operate with wide input voltage such Divided Resistors as battery which is higher or lower than the output voltage Up to 3A Maximum Load Capability for V = 3V, IN and it can supply the load current up to 3A. The maximum V = 3.5V OUT peak current in the switches is limited to a typical value of Up to 96% Efficiency 6.5A. Feedback loop is internally compensated for both OCP, OVP, OTP Protected Function Buck and Boost operation and it provides seamless 2MHz Switching Frequency transition between Buck and Boost modes and optimal 5A Non-Switching Low Quiescent Maximizes transient response. The Buck-Boost operates at 1.5MHz Light Load Efficiency typical switching frequency in full synchronous operation. Forced PWM and Automatic PFM/PWM Mode The RT6158H operates in Pulse Frequency Modulation Selection (PFM) mode for increasing efficiency during low power Output Fast Discharge Function RF transmission modes. The PFM mode can be disabled, Automatic / Seamless Step Up and Step Down forcing the RT6158H to operate at a fixed switching Mode Transitions frequency operation at 2MHz. The RT6158H can also be 25-Ball WL-CSP Package synchronized with external frequency from 2.2MHz to 2.6MHz.
