The L6563STR Power Factor Correction (PFC) Transition Mode PFC 5mA 90uA 1.5% Reference is an integrated circuit manufactured by STMicroelectronics. It is designed to provide a high power factor for AC/DC converters with an input voltage range of 90 – 264V. It has multiple features, including a wide input voltage range, transition mode control, and low component count to reduce system cost. The device also has an integrated flyback converter and can operate with power up to 700W. In addition, it has an integrated 1.5% reference voltage which allows for high accuracy and stability of the PFC output voltage. The L6563STR has integrated protection features such as circuit breaker protection and over-voltage protection. Furthermore, the user can easily configure and monitor the power factor through an I2C interface. The device is ideal for LED lighting applications.
