The STMicroelectronics SPBTLE-1S Bluetooth module is a very low power application module with convenient embedded Bluetooth Smart v4.2 technology, providing enhanced and robust performance with very low power consumption. This module is based on a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) single-chip solution, which offers a comprehensive set of features, including an on-board controller, radio transceiver, antenna, and a host of digital peripherals. It includes a complete protocol stack, GAP, GATT, security, power management, as well as an event-handling system, making it ideal for implementing shortrange wireless communications. It also comes with a range of options for wireless application development for mobile platforms such as iOS and Android. The SPBTLE-1S is compliant with the IEEE 802.15.1 standard and supports the Bluetooth v4.2 specification.
