ISO3088DWR Texas Instruments

The ISO3088DWR is an integrated digital isolator with Texas Instruments’ isolation technology. It can be used as a full-duplex and half-duplex transceiver for RS-485 communication and provides complete galvanic isolation up to 5 kVrms. The device is capable of transferring data up to 2 Mbps as full-duplex or 125 kbps as half-duplex with minimal timing jitter. It supports supply voltages of 1.8 V to 5.5 V, and has a low active and power-down mode supply current of 1.9 mA and 1 µA, respectively. It also features a built-in logic-level translation between 5 V and 1.8 V signaling for both directions, and an adjustable hysteresis of 40 mV increases noise margins. The low propagation delay of 9.5 ns from input to output ensures reliable and fast communication. The device is ideal for data signals that require high degree of safety against ground loops and common mode voltages, such as industrial automation equipment and measuring instruments.
