The SL04-E3-08 is part of Vishay's very popular SL04 series of unipolar Stepper Motor Drivers. It is a two-channel, high-performance motor driver in an 8-pin SOIC-8 package. It is an open-collector, unipolar microstepping drive solution that supports a wide range of DC input voltages (2.5 V to 7 V) and can provide up to 0.75 A/channel continuous output current using a wide range of inputs, including simple methods such as Phase/Enable, Direction/Enable, Clock/Direction/Enable, and Clock/Direction/Step. It also features low-power sleep and idle modes, a built-in protection circuit against over-voltage and overheat, adjustable slowing, and an auto-recovery feature for thermal protection. Designed for use with unipolar stepper motors, the SL04 series is capable of delivering smooth, stable motion and excellent torque at low or high speeds.
