The HCPL-7800-500E is an optically isolated amplifier manufactured by Broadcom. It is designed to reduce noise interference and current-to-voltage isolation between two circuits. It has a supply voltage range of 4.5 - 5.5 V and provides an isolation of 8 dB. The input impedance is 50 Ohms and the maximum output current is 10mA. The gain is from 50 - 500 kHz and the phase margin is 180°. The device has a zero crossing detector input with an active low output. It is capable of accepting and driving both TTL/CMOS and AC input signals. It is ideal for motor control systems, noise reduction in switch mode power supplies and audio applications.
