DS1337 2 I C Serial Real-Time Clock GENERAL DESCRIPTION BENEFITS AND FEATURES The DS1337 serial real-time clock is a low-power Completely Manages All Timekeeping clock/calendar with two programmable time-of-day Functions alarms and a programmable square-wave output. o Real-Time Clock (RTC) Counts Seconds, Address and data are transferred serially through an Minutes, Hours, Day, Date, Month, and 2 IC bus. The clock/calendar provides seconds, Year with Leap-Year Compensation Valid minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year Up to 2100 information. The date at the end of the month is o Two Time-of-Day Alarms automatically adjusted for months with fewer than 31 o Programmable Square-Wave Output days, including corrections for leap year. The clock Defaults to 32kHz on Power-Up operates in either the 24-hour or 12-hour format with o Oscillator Stop Flag AM/PM indicator. Interfaces with Most Microcontrollers 2 o I C Serial Interface The device is fully accessible through the serial 2 interface while V is between 1.8V and 5.5V. I C CC Surface-Mount Package with an Integrated operation is not guaranteed below 1.8V.
