It is an NPN type transistor and is a switching device with a large power dissipation capability. It has an hFE ratio of 180-240 and is designed to operate with high current amplifications such as audio amplifiers, power amplifiers, and switching. The collector-emitter voltage is rated at 30V while the collector-base voltage is 25V and the emitter-base voltage being 5V. The collector current is rated at 800mA and the gain at 9.5. The dissipation power rating is up to 500mW. This Bipolar Transistor is appropriate for use in filament light, AC motor, and heater control applications.
