The PI6C557-03LE is a Clock Generator with Dual PCle support manufactured by Diodes Incorporated. It is a low-cost, low-power solution to generate PCI Express clocks. It is designed to generate both the PCIe Refclk and the PCIe CLK families of frequencies required for compliant operation of a PCIe device. The PI6C557-03LE supports the PCIe version 1.x (2.5GHz), version 2.x (5.0GHz), version 3.x (8.0GHz), version 4.x (16.0GHz) and future versions. The device includes an internal charge-pump voltage regulator, on-chip resistive termination, and needs only a discrete crystal to operate. The device also offers several test modes to facilitate compliance testing and debugging. It is available in a variety of packages, including a space saving, 8-pin WDFN package with a system-level power supply of either 1.8V or 3.3V.
