It is a Generation 3 PCM and is used in a variety of GM vehicle models including the Buick Regal, Enclave, LaCrosse, Verano and Cadillac CTS, ATS, and XTS. The PPC1090 contains a Powertrain system that can control engine ignition, fuel delivery, and transmission control, as well as electronic throttle control and electronic stability control, depending on the vehicle. It also monitors and records data from dozens of sensors in and around the powertrain system. This data is sent to the vehicle owner or service technician and can be used to diagnose and troubleshoot powertrain-related problems.
