The IC Plus IP178G is an Ethernet integrated circuit (IC) with QFN-68 (Quad Flat No-Lead) package that is RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant. It is designed to manage Ethernet (10/100/1000 BASE-T) interfaces in embedded applications. The device has protection and features that make it suitable for applications such as monitoring, data acquisition systems, testing, and automation. It is equipped with a range of transmit/receive features including buffer and start frame pause. It has multiple interrupt support features that enable efficient response in time-sensitive applications, and features a fast and simple register interface that is suitable for system integration. The device also supports 65kb jumbo frames and provides a range of fault detection features including short/long frames, jabber, error frames, and packet undersize/oversize conditions.
