Technologies:The IRS2505LTRPBF is a power factor correction (PFC) controller integrated circuit (IC) manufactured by Infineon Technologies. It is a boost PFC controller IC with a 20.8V VCC and a maximum power dissipation of 250mW. This IC integrates a power switch to help suppress AC line filter components, thereby effectively reduce the size and cost of PFC converters. It features a multi-mode PFC controller, allowing it to achieve full power factor of 0.8 and low input THD (total harmonic distortion). Furthermore, it has built-in SoftStart and BrownOut protection, as well as protection against Internal Overheat and External Short Circuit. Additionally, the IC provides a cycle-by-cycle current limiting function for better short circuit protection. Lastly, the device is housed in the MICRO8 (PLCC8) package for increased space savings, making it well-suited for consumer, industrial, and medical power converters.
