The UZ5240 is a power management integrated circuit (PMIC) from Microchip, designed for use in embedded systems requiring low power operation. It enables optimized power management, which can help to reduce system power consumption and extend battery life, especially in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and other low power, battery-powered applications. The UZ5240 provides an adjustable 250mA DC/DC buck converter that can operate from an input voltage ranging from 3V to 5.5V, and a 300mA adjustable low-dropout (LDO) linear regulator. It also features a host of programmable protection features for safe operation, including over-voltage protection, thermal shutdown, incremental current-limit circuitry, and reverse current protection.
