The device utilizes Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM) mode to maximize light-load Excellent Line and Load Transient Response efficiency by reducing switching frequency when the Precision Reference: 1% Over Temperature inductor is operating in discontinuous conduction mode at light loads.
