The FDMF3180 provides an output Catastrophic Fault Detection Features signal (IMON), which reports the real-time module Thermal Flag (OTP) for Over-Temperature current. IMON is a very accurate, 5 A/A signal Condition representing the real-time Power MOSFET drain currents. The IMON signal can be used to replace Over-Current Protection FAULT (OCP) output filter inductor DCR current sense or resistor High--Side Short Detect FAULT sense methods. Under-Voltage Lockout (UVLO) on VCC and The FDMF3180 also includes very accurate module PVCC thermal monitor (TMON).
