1. Founded in 1987, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Ltd (TSMC) is the world's largest dedicated independent semiconductor foundry. TSMC operates its own fabrication facility, known as a fab, in Hsinchu, Taiwan, as well as multiple additional facilities in mainland China, Singapore, and the United States.
2. TSMC's 2A01 process is a 28nm logic process technology with the widest range of analog, logic, and embedded flash NVM options in the industry. It enables customers to design complex SoCs with higher levels of integration and lower power consumption, while also achieving the smallest die size. The process features dual-beam mask-based lithography, multiple process options, dynamic power management, and a wide variety of metal and contact stack technologies.
