S2J is an abbreviation for System-on-Chip (SoC) Solutions for the Taiwanese Semiconductor Industry. It is a program designed to facilitate the development of a dynamic source of System-on-Chip solutions for the people of Taiwan. S2J is targeted at new and emerging technologies related to the electronic system design and fabrication of System-on-Chip products with an emphasis on serving the needs of the local industry. The program is composed of a four-tier system that includes the following elements:
1) The S2J Strategic Alliance, which consists of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST), the leading industry association (Taiwan IC Design Promotion Alliance (TIDA)), and key players in the semiconductor and microelectronic markets in Taiwan.
2) The S2J Innovation Centers, which are dedicated research and development centers with a focus on the development of System-on-Chip solutions for Taiwan.
3) The S2J Technology Solution Hubs, which are technology hubs that provide various services to the local industry, such as incubation, technology exchange, intellectual property protection, and product development consulting.
4) The S2J Education Platforms, which are devoted to providing educational and training opportunities for the local industry, mainly on a regional basis.
