TMI8208 with Motor Drivers SOP-8 RoHS is a high-density, mixed signal Integrated Circuit (IC) manufactured by Tianma Microelectronics International (TMI), designed specifically for motor-drive applications. It includes two H-bridge motor drivers, a low-voltage Hall-detection circuit, two low-side current sense amplifiers, a step-down buck regulator, and an analog Reference voltage output. This device is RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant and is available in a small SOP-8 package, ideal for saving board space. The device is capable of driving two brush DC motors at up to 500mA peak current (250mA continous) in each half-bridge and can also sense the current of both half-bridges in order to provide feedback loop control. Additionally, it offers a low-voltage Hall-effect circuit and can be used for the detection of nearby magnets. The step-down buck regulator provides a stable, adjustable, low-voltage output while the integrated Reference voltage output helps to reduce the number of components required for simplified design.
