Additional Infomation About Product

The TSOP4840 is a miniature surface-mount Infrared (IR) Receiver Module designed to provide the highest performance possible in small package sizes. It is made by Vishay Semiconductor and is commonly used in many consumer electronics applications such as remote control, TV and audio applications. The TSOP4840 features a digital output designed for low voltage operation and can accept signals from remote controllers operating at a maximum frequency of 40 kHz. It has a sensitive active area of 0.4 x 0.4 mm and utilizes a gallium-arsenide (GaAs) infrared-emitting diode (IRED) in combination with a phototransistor. This module is designed to directly interface typical logic circuits with an output that is compatible with TTL and CMOS applications.
