It is lighter than air and therefore it accumulates in the upper parts of rooms. Gas combined with oxygen forms a highly explosive mixture. Propane-butane (LPG) gas is in turn heavier than air and accumulates in the lower parts of rooms, but also when combined with oxygen forms an explosive mixture. That is why, it is so important to mount gas detectors in rooms where gas escapes may occur, to carry out inspections of equipment regularly (cookers, stoves, water heaters, gas boilers, etc.) and to check the flow of ventilating ducts. FEATURES: detection of a dangerous concentration of natural gas and LPG (propane-butane) semiconductor sensor power supply voltage 230 V AC alarm optical signalling alarm sound signalling (85dB) sensor failure signalling (auto-diagnostic system) Before sensor mounting, first read the manual instruction included in the packaging. GAS DETECTOR: 230 V AC IP20 Product net weight: 0.169 kg The symbol means selective collecting of electrical and electronic equipment. It is forbidden to put the used equipment together with other waste. Made in PRC for Zamel Sp. z o.o. Also, these devices should not be placed in areas exposed to dust, dirt, aerosols and household chemicals that can permanently Clean the device regularly, keep clean the sensors air inlet - mount the device in places meeting the requirements regarding damage the detector. temperature and humidity, do not cover the device with paint while painting the room, do not spray the cleaners directly on the device, fault do not allow to flood the sensor, mount the sensor according to the requirements (point 1 of this manual instruction), alarm it is absolutely required to replace the sensor in case a failure is detected. power test key It is important to take into account that gas sensors perfectly raise the probability of detecting gas escape, but they do not provide 100% certainty of gas detection due to a FUNCTIONS possibility of a device failure, power failure and the impact of external factors on the sensor. First activation Therefore, it is required to systematically test the sensors efficiency (in accordance with After power has been supplied, the device activates a short sound signal, switches on the green LED and the yellow LED starts flashing. The above means the device will warm up for approximately 1 minute. After this time is over, the yellow LED will stop this manual instruction), gas equipment and installation, and the flow of ventilating ducts to flashing and the device will switch to the operation mode. In cases the device has been inactive for three months the sensor minimize the risk of explosion. warm-up process can take much longer (even up to several minutes). Test procedure After pressing the TEST button, the device will perform the test procedure by checking the sensors efficiency. A sound signal is audible and the red LED switches on. In case the test is successful, the device returns to the operation mode signalled by switching on the green LED. Device testing is recommended at least once a month. Alarm Before mounting the sensor, read this manual instruction first. If a sensor detects a dangerous gas level, it automatically activates a sound alarm and a red LED starts flashing. In case an alarm occurs, it is required to ventilate immediately the particular room and to leave it at once. Do not switch on any other electrical equipment as it can cause the risk of explosion. It is also important to notify the relevant services to check the cause of gas presence in the air. Device failure signalling. The device is equipped with an auto-diagnostic system, which in case of a sensor failure detection activates the sound alarm and the yellow LED flashing. The device failure requires to contact the service or to replace the device due to the end of device life. Maintenance and usage remarks Clean the device regularly, keep clean the sensors air inlet - mount the device in places meeting the requirements regarding temperature and humidity, do not cover the device with paint while painting the room, do not spray the cleaners directly on the device, do not allow to flood the sensor, mount the sensor according to the requirements (point 1 of this manual instruction), it is absolutely required to replace the sensor in case a failure is detected. newCGZ-01 en.indd 4-5 05.01.2017 13:02
