It is designed to deliver a small, single-chip solution, ideal for low-cost, high performance PFC applications. With a PFC control frequency of 133 kHz, the NCP1654 supports both continuous conduction mode (CCM) and discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) of operation. It integrates over-current, over-voltage and under-voltage protection, programmable soft-start and a quick loop response. The device is housed in a small, 8-lead SOIC or 8-lead DIP package.
