The LSM6DSRTR with IMUs (Inertial Measurement Units CONSUMER MEMS) is a 3-axis gyroscope and 3-axis accelerometer module produced by STMicroelectronics. It is the successor to the popular LSM6DSRTR. The LSM6DSRTR combines the 6-axis inertial measurement unit, comprising a 3-axis accelerometer and a 3-axis gyroscope, with a temperature sensor, and includes embedded functionalities such as pedometer and tilt-detection. The device is suitable for low-power consumer, medical and industrial applications, such as home appliances, toys, fitness and sports equipment, gaming consoles, health and wellness monitors, body and personal care products, and wearable devices. It includes a 16-bit analogue to digital converter for each axis and automatically configures the power supply and digital filtering to reduce noise and power consumption.The device is capable of measuring acceleration and angular rates with a dynamic range of ±2g/±2000dps for the accelerometer and ±2.5 dps/±125 dps for the gyroscope respectively. It contains a programmable FIFO buffer for motion sensing data, allows the user to detect and count steps and measure inclination angle. It also includes embedded intelligence providing features such as activity recognition, tilt, and fall detection. The device is fully integrated into the STM32 family of microcontrollers and is connected to the STM32 software libraries and MCUs to offer a complete platform for motion sensing applications. It is available in a small 2.9 × 2.2 × 0.72 mm wLGA package.
