The M48Z08-100PC1 is a CMOS 8-Kb x 8 Nonvolatile SRAM manufactured by STMicroelectronics. It is a low-power, low-voltage device that provides 8,192 bits of nonvolatile memory with a wide-operating temperature range (-40 to +85 °C). It contains 64 x 8 bytes of user memory, 512 bytes of status and control registers, and a 1024 bytes of EEPROM user memory. The EEPROM is organized as 64 bytes of 64 bits each for small variable data storage. The device is ideal for data storage in constrained applications such as sensors, portable meters, industrial controllers and embedded systems. Other features include a Write WatchDog Timer to protect against accidental writes, self-timed write cycles, Data Protection against inadvertent alteration, and expansion pin option. The chip comes in a 28-pin PDIP package.
