The ST3232CDR with Buffers & Line Drivers Lo Power 2Drvr/2Rcvr, manufactured by STMicroelectronics, is a dual channel RS232 line driver/receiver solution. It contains two independent line driver receivers, each comprising one driver and one receiver, that are specifically designed for RS232 communication. It integrates two low-power drivers and two receivers into a single package to save board space and eliminate the need for additional external components. The line drivers senses and controls the logic levels on the Txd and Rxd lines, and each receiver buffer provides noise reduction by using a Schmitt trigger based input structure. The ST3232CDR also has low power consumption, which makes it optimal for battery-powered applications.
