Dual Channel IF Digital Variable Gain Amplifier F1240 10MHz to 500MHz Datasheet Description Features The F1240 is a dual channel IF variable gain amplifier for diversity Ideal for systems with high SNR requirements basestation receivers. Each channel has 31.5dB of total 20dB typical Maximum Gain attenuation and a 0.5dB attenuation step. The device offers 31.5dB gain control range significantly better noise and distortion performance than currently 6 bit control via serial or parallel control available devices. It is packaged in a compact 5mm x 5mm QFN with 200 differential input and output impedances for ease of 0.5dB Gain Steps integration into the receiver lineup. Excellent Noise Figure : 4.0dB NF degrades just 1.3dB 10dB below Max Gain Competitive Advantage 200 Differential Matched Input The F1240 IF VGA improves system signal-to-noise (SNR), 200 Differential Matched Output TM especially at lower gain settings. With IDTs proprietary FlatNoise No termination resistors required technology both OIP3 and noise figure are kept virtually flat while gain is backed off, enhancing SNR significantly under high level 10MHz 500MHz frequency range interferer conditions, and greatly benefiting 2G/3G/4G Multi-Carrier Ultra-Linear: OIP3 +47dBm typical IF sampling receivers. Excellent 2nd Harmonic Rejection The fast settling time, less than 15ns, gain step of 0.5dB coupled External current setting resistors with the excellent differential linearity allow for signal to noise ratio Very fast settling < 15ns (SNR) to be maximized further by targeting the minimum necessary Individual Power Down Modes gain in small, accurate increments.
