STK16C88 256-Kbit (32 K 8) AutoStore+ nvSRAM 256-Kbit (32 K 8) AutoStore+ nvSRAM Features Functional Description 25 ns and 45 ns access times The Cypress STK16C88 is a 256 Kb fast static RAM with a nonvolatile element in each memory cell. The embedded Directly replaces battery-backed SRAM modules such as nonvolatile elements incorporate QuantumTrap technology Dallas/Maxim DS1230 AB producing the worlds most reliable nonvolatile memory. The SRAM provides unlimited read and write cycles, while Automatic nonvolatile STORE on power loss independent, nonvolatile data resides in the highly reliable Nonvolatile STORE under Software control QuantumTrap cell. Data transfers from the SRAM to the nonvolatile elements (the STORE operation) takes place Automatic RECALL to SRAM on power up automatically at power down. On power up, data is restored to Unlimited Read/Write endurance the SRAM (the RECALL operation) from the nonvolatile memory. Both the STORE and RECALL operations are also available Unlimited RECALL cycles under software control. 1,000,000 STORE cycles 100 year data retention Single 5 V + 10% power supply Commercial and Industrial Temperatures 28-pin (600 mil) PDIP package RoHS compliance Logic Block Diagram Cypress Semiconductor Corporation 198 Champion Court San Jose, CA 95134-1709 408-943-2600 Document Number: 001-50595 Rev. *C Revised February 27, 2012 Not recommended for new designs.
