Power Management Unit - Automotive, Battery-Connected, Multi-Output NCV97311 www.onsemi.com Description The NCV97311 is a 3output regulator consisting of a lowIq batteryconnected 3 A, 2 MHz non synchronous switcher and two lowvoltage 1.5 A, 2 MHz synchronous switchers all using integrated power transistors. 1 32 The highvoltage switcher is capable of converting a 4.1 V to 18 V QFN32 battery input to a 5 V or 3.3 V output at a constant 2 MHz switching MW SUFFIX CASE 488AM frequency, delivering up to 3 A. In overvoltage conditions up to 37 V, the switching frequency folds back to 1 MHz in load dump conditions up to 45 V the regulator shuts down. MARKING DIAGRAM The output of the batteryconnected buck regulator serves as the low 1 voltage input for the 2 downstream synchronous switchers. Each NCV97311 downstream output is adjustable from 1.2 V to 3.3 V, with a 1.5 A XX average current limit and a constant 2 MHz switching frequency. Each AWLYYWW switcher has an independent enable and reset pin, giving extra power management flexibility. For lowIq operating mode, the lowvoltage switchers are disabled XX = 33 or 50 and the standby rail is supplied by a lowIq LDO (up to 150 mA) with A = Assembly Location WL = Wafer Lot a typical Iq of 30 A. The LDO regulator is in parallel to the YY = Year highvoltage switcher, and is activated when the switcher is forced in WW = Work Week standby mode. = PbFree Package All 3 SMPS outputs use peak current mode control with internal (Note: Microdot may be in either location) slope compensation, internallyset softstart, battery undervoltage lockout, battery overvoltage protection, cycle by cycle current ORDERING INFORMATION limiting, hiccup mode shortcircuit protection and thermal shutdown. See detailed ordering, marking and shipping information on An error flag is available for diagnostics. page 23 of this data sheet.
