NCV97310 Automotive Battery- Connected Low-Iq Multi- Output Power Management Unit with 3 Buck Regulators www.onsemi.com Description The NCV97310 is a 3output regulator consisting of a lowIq batteryconnected 3 A, 2 MHz nonsynchronous switcher and two lowvoltage 1.5 A, 2 MHz synchronous switchers all using integrated power transistors. 32 1 The highvoltage switcher is capable of converting a 4.1 V to 18 V QFN32 battery input to a 3.3 V output at a constant 2 MHz switching MW SUFFIX frequency, delivering up to 3 A. In overvoltage conditions up to 36 V, CASE 488AM the switching frequency folds back to 1 MHz in load dump conditions up to 45 V the regulator shuts down. MARKING DIAGRAM The output of the batteryconnected buck regulator serves as the low 1 voltage input for the 2 downstream synchronous switchers. Each NCV97310 downstream output is adjustable from 1.2 V to 2.8 V, with a 1.5 A 33 average current limit and a constant 2 MHz switching frequency. Each AWLYYWW switcher has an independent enable and reset pin, giving extra power management flexibility. For lowIq operating mode, the lowvoltage switchers are disabled A = Assembly Location and the standby rail is supplied by a lowIq LDO (up to 150 mA) with WL = Wafer Lot YY = Year a typical Iq of 30 A. The LDO regulator is in parallel to the WW = Work Week highvoltage switcher, and is activated when the switcher is forced in = PbFree Package standby mode. (Note: Microdot may be in either location) All 3 SMPS outputs use peak current mode control with internal slope compensation, internallyset softstart, battery undervoltage lockout, battery overvoltage protection, cyclebycycle current ORDERING INFORMATION See detailed ordering, marking and shipping information on limiting, hiccup mode shortcircuit protection and thermal shutdown. page 20 of this data sheet.
